Piazza Interactive Page

Please join the VIPCUP2018 page created on the Piazza to interact with organizing committe mebers; ask questions, and; access supporting documents. Below are the steps to join the Piazza page:

• Go to https://piazza.com
• Click the "Sing Up" tab on the top left corner of the page, and select "Students Get Stared"
• In the "Search Schools:" type in "IEEE SPS" and select the pop-up option.
• Select Summer 2018 term
• In Class 1 tab:
• Write "VIPCUP2018: IEEE Video and Image Processing (VIP) Cup 2018"
• Password is "sps007".
• Select "Join as: Student".
• Click on Join the Class.
• Proceed with signing up to get access to the VIP-CUP Piazza page

Registration

Any eligible team can participate in the competition, whose detailed guidelines and dataset are planned to be released on May 24, 2018 and participating teams should complete their submission by July 30, 2018. The three best teams are selected and announced by August 30, 2018. Three finalist teams will be judged at IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) 2018, which will be held October 7-10, 2018. In addition to algorithmic performances, demonstration and presentation performances will also affect the final ranking.

Important Dates:

August 30th, 2018: Announcement of the 3 Finalist teams.

October 8th, 2017: Final competition at ICIP 2018 .

Team Prizes

The champion: $5,000

The 1st Runner-up: $2,500

The 2nd Runner-up: $1,500

Each finalist team invited to ICIP 2018 will receive travel supported by the IEEE SPS on a reimbursement basis. A team member is offered up to $1,200 for continental travel, or $1,700 for intercontinental travel. A maximum of three members per team will be eligible for travel support.
